This week's featured skater effervesces with enthusiasm and explodes with energy. Changing state between jammer and solid blocker, she'll dissolve opposition walls and corrode their iron defence. An effective catalyst for improvement throughout the team... it's Emily Reacts!
Emily has spent time skating with both Surrey Rollergirls and the Romsey Rollerbillies, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience along with her, which is particularly appreciated in her elected role as a director of the league this year.
On track she's an incredible double threat, able to quickly transition from power jamming to sticking into a solid wall. More than that though, Emily has a great head for tactics and communication; she constantly helps everyone around her to be more effective.
That continues off-track and at practice, where Emily is a vital member of the coaching team. We love that her sessions are focussed, exhausting and from time-to-time, pirate themed! Emily was voted our team's "Biggest Planker" for her endurance and athleticism - she's the kind of person who can casually show up to practice having just popped out to run a couple of miles - and we can't wait to see what fresh pain she has in store for us this year :D
Emily Reacts is also our Skater of the Week because of the awesome work and effort she has put into our fresh meat program. We'll be gearing up for a new skater intake beginning in April, so look out for more news about how you can be involved!
